Send estimates and invoices in your customer's language
Set a language on the customer, and their estimates, invoices and emails go out in it, whoever on your team sends them.
Updated September 14, 2026
Documents follow the customer, not the person who sends them. An English-speaking office can send a Spanish-speaking customer a Spanish estimate, and still see it in English on their own screen.
Set a customer's language
- Open the customer and edit their details.
- Under “Document language”, choose English or Spanish.
- Save. Their invoices, estimates and emails are written in that language from then on.
Set a default for your business
Customers without a language of their own use your business default. Set it under “Document language” on the Team and access page, then choose “Save document settings”. If neither is set, documents are written in English.
What follows the setting
- Estimates and invoices
- Customer emails
- Photo reports and the customer portal
